Tinariwen live in Barcelona!
The Rebellion of the Desert
When you talk about Tinariwen, you talk about the desert turned into music. With their long robes and Tuareg turbans, the shesh, this collective born among the dunes of the Sahara are the originators of what is now known as desert blues — a style they call assuf, a Tamasheq word meaning ‘nostalgia’ or ‘longing’.
After trading their Kalashnikovs for guitars at the end of the Tuareg rebellion in the 1990s, Tinariwen transformed their story into electric poetry: deep voices that resonate, guitars that vibrate, and rhythms that pulse — turning them into true rock ’n’ roll rebels. Now, we’ll have the chance to see them live on April 17th at La Paloma!
Presale available from October 29th at 11am and general sale from October 31st at 11am:
For more than two decades, they’ve travelled the world, becoming regular guests at major international festivals and ambassadors of an ancient culture that stands for identity and resistance. Their music is hypnotic and profound — a call to calm, to movement, and to the memory of where we come from.
On April 17th, 2026, Tinariwen will bring all the magic of the desert to La Paloma: an experience that transcends music and becomes a true ritual of freedom!
