Born in Trollhättan (Sweden), Jay-Jay Johanson is one of the most singular figures in contemporary European pop. Since his teenage years, he began composing, guided by a melancholic sensitivity and an unmistakable voice that combines elegance and mystery, which became his personal trademark.
His debut came in 1996 with ‘Whiskey’, recorded at the Break My Heart studio in the Stockholm archipelago. The album, with its mix of vocal jazz, trip hop rhythms, and noir atmospheres, was an immediate success that opened the doors to his first world tour and established him as the “digital crooner.” Now his unique style arrives at La Paloma on Wednesday, March 18th!
