Hypnotic Brass Ensemble IN CONCERT AT THE SALA WOLF!
THE ROOTS OF THE BRASS
These seven siblings, children of jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran, former member of the spiritual jazz group Sun Ra Akestra, and raised in South Chicago, are the soul of this band. It was their father who taught them to play their instruments when they were young and instilled in them a deep sense of roots and a passion for music that still comes across at their concerts, where they are accompanied by three other musicians, forming an unmissable big band.
The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble has played with Gorillaz, Prince, De La Soul, Black Pumas, and many more groups, and on October 12nd, they will arrive at Sala Wolf to offer us one of their only three concerts in Spain, accompanied by DJs Ale Kaldas and Jaayology!

The cathartic energy of their live performances is authentically genuine. In 1999, they took their music to Chicago’s subway stations and later moved on to the streets of New York. Since the release of their debut album ‘Flipside’ in 2004, they have become the world’s leading brass ensemble, showcasing their talent not only as instrumentalists but also as composers and producers.
Their biggest success came when the song “War” was included in the film ‘The Hunger Games’, and they are sure to relive that success with the release of their new album ‘PEOPLE’, which they will present on October 12 in Barcelona!
